Is Trigger Marketing a Good Strategy?

I have been selling real estate for about a month and a half now, although mostly I have been trying to sell real estate. So far I have not decided on the best ways of promoting the places and clients I represent. I was looking for ways to generate buzz for my listings when I discovered the concept of trigger marketing. You can learn about it at this website that I found, http://quantumdigital.com/triggermarketing. I really do not have a firm opinion yet, but it seems to have a great deal of merit on the face of it. The idea is very compelling as it promises to target those people who might really be interested in purchasing a new home. I know that a lot of marketing efforts go completely for naught and I worry about postcards going to people who will toss them in the trash as soon as they get them.

If you get a thousand postcards and send them to one thousand random people the results could hardly be good. How many of them will want a house? How many will need a house? How many of them will have the means to actually follow through with that need or desire? Of course the big thing with me is that these cards might help you get people to your Facebook page or your web page. Social media seems to be a great place for you to try to get in touch with potential buyers. For me I need to look down the line. The people who are unable to buy a house today might be able to swing the deal in a year or so. I am going to need to do some ground work and get people interested in me as a real estate agent. It is a long journey after all.
